dannewton just finished a 16.23km run, that lasted for 101 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 1200.0 calories.

Description from Strava: Starting the week off with a mostly easy zone 2 plod. I've been hit and miss on this for the past few weeks... so felt good to be back on it again

for new readers, or for those who have forgotten, the aim is to keep my heart rate in the zone 2 training zone (currently 136-149bpm), which helps to make sure my 'easy' runs are actually easy

I've let that slide in the past few weeks, and have neglected it in favour of just getting out and running at whatever pace I wanted. Definitely time to get a bit more structure back into my training.

The weather was warm and dry, which was lovely, or would've been if it hadn't been for the blasted wind! I decided to leave my peaked hat at home as it probably would have just blown away!

When I set out for the run, I wasn't entirely sure where to go, other than knowing I wanted to do approx 15-17km. I though I would try to avoid the wind by running the loop around the village several times, but no matter where I went the wind was still there. So after that first 6km, I decided just to head out onto the bypass. The wind was ferocious, but I just put my head down and got on with it. Running out along the bypass added another 10km, for a total of 16km.

That'll do!

Was pleased to I mostly managed to keep the hear rate under 149bpm (other that that hill of course). Running through the strong headwind also creates more effort, so I had to slow the pace a little to keep the hear rate down, but that was ok. I was aiming for easy, and today it di feel easy.

Now to go ang grab some tea, and a shower and then I can relax this evening.

Tomorrow will be a rest day (as usual for a Tuesday) and then I'll be back for another 15 (ish) km on wednesday... hopefully the wind will have died down a little by then haha!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

Well done. I wanted to run yesterday, but it just kept raining, so I did an indoor workout instead. The wind can be hard work. Keep it up.

The wind is hard... and the rain was frankly atrocious on Sunday... an indoor workout still counts, every little bit helps and all that :-)

One who gets into the habit of walking every day and then the day he can't do this routine, then there is a strange discomfort in the body. It is good that you are also doing it daily.

I think the warm and dry weather made you enjoy the run more. It’s really a good one and I’m glad you enjoyed the run
