steevc just finished a 5.01km run, that lasted for 28 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 359.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I could see a few drops of rain as I had breakfast, but it did not look too bad. I fed the chickens before jogging down the road to parkrun. I passed a family of geese by the lake with seven goslings. At the start there were not many people, but lots more turned up in the following few minutes.

Off we went again. The course it pretty good, but still squelchy after the first corner. There are wood chippings there, but a lot of water runs off the woods into the lake across the path. I did my usual thing of setting my own pace, but I was seeing who I could keep up with. There is one regular who swapped places with me several times, but he is quite competitive. He finished ahead of me. I was more surprised by my friend Jeff who is a little older than me and usually finishes just behind me. Today he overtook me on the first lap and I could not catch him. He says he has a new training regime where he alternates slower and quicker kilometres. Maybe I need to try that.

I gave it my all with a last push for the finish. My time was within a few seconds of the last couple I have done. I need to see if I can improve on that soon.

It was raining a little by then, but not enough to really get us wet. I jogged most of the way home. There is a Hive meetup in Bedford next weekend, so I may run there.

Run free.

Does everywhere feel slippery whenever you run during the rain?

I love the photo of that dam, and I hope that your time will improve.

We have a nice route around the fishing lakes with a small river running past so we get a few waterfowl. I do need to work on my training to improve and not get complacent.

That small river even makes it more attractive, and I don't know you as a complacent person, as you are always active !LOL

I really love when before going for a run, I see some signs of possible rain.
It adds some nice suspense to if I'm going to get wet or not today :D

I didn't run yesterday as I knew I'd get pretty wet. I don't mind some light rain though.
