The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games will open on 4 February 2022, although preliminary events will begin two days prior to the Opening Ceremony, which involves curling and ice hockey. The Games will conclude at the Closing Ceremony, which is scheduled for 20 February 2022.

The 2022 Beiging Olympics Games will be hosting:

• Alpine Skiing
  A.k.a. Downhill skiing. A sport in which competitors attempt to rapidly ski down a snow-covered hillside. It's generally held in a timed trial format.
  
  
• Biathlon
  The Biathlon includes shooting at firing ranges alongside cross country skiing.
  
  
• Bobsleigh
  Bobsledding is a team sport that entails 2-4 team-mates pushing their bobsled toward steep, curvy, frozen, banked course as fast as they can to be driven by gravity the rest of the way. Fastest time wins.
  
  
• Cross-Country Skiing
  Cross-country skiers rely primarily on their own power in order to move across distances instead of using the aid of ski lifts.
  
  
• Curling
  Curling is played on ice by two teams who try to slide stones made of granite ahead using strategy to set the most stones nearest the target.
  
  
• Figure Skating
  Ice skaters in singles/pairs attempt to execute fundamental movements in a dance like performance in attempts to persuade judges to award a higher score than their opponent.
  
  
• Freestyle Skiing
  Contestants speed down over moguls, and a series of ramps in a show of acrobatics in attempts to outscore the opposing teams.
  
  
• Ice Hockey
  2 teams skating on ice face off against each other using hockey sticks to try and score a puck past the other teams goalie into a net. The highest amount of scores win.
  
  
• Luge
  1-2 racers lay face up on a sled and slide down a fix course at sensational speeds. The racer with the fastest total time is deemed the winner.
  
  
• Nordic Combined
  Athletes compete in 2 disciplines. The first involves skiing jumping up to speeds of 85 where they receive scores based on their form, technique and distance.
  That score determines the position they start in the next round which consists of cross-country skiing. The first who passes the finish line wins.
  
  
• Short Track Speed Skating
  An ice speed skating discipline in which the distance traveled by a competitor is measured on an elliptical track. Competitions are held among women and men over distances of 1500 meters, 500 meters, 1000 meters, and 3000 meters.
  
  
• Skeleton
  A skeleton sled has no steering components that to change course, athletes move their legs and shoulders to change the center of gravity on the board./ A timed event.
  
  
• Ski Jumping
  It consists only of a single giant leap. Skiers perform earn high scores judged by various locations including the difficulty of the performance, and the landing.
  
  
• Snow Boarding
  Snow Boarders race among themselves in a race along a series of jumps, steep rails, and other obstacles.
  
  
• Speed Skating
  Skaters race for the best times. There will be a total of fourteen competitions: seven for male athletes (500m-10,00m) who race and seven for women (500-5000m)

Also this Year the official mascot of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games is a giant panda named Bing Dwen Dwen (which means Ice and represents the youth) (冰墩墩)
