La lucha por entrar en las competencias continentales es cada vez más fuerte. Entre el tercer y séptimo lugar hay apenas cinco puntos. Por eso, hablemos de un par de partidos que tendrán algunos equipos que están en esa zona.

ASTON VILLA vs. NEWCASTLE

ASTON VILLA viene de propinarles una paliza al Southampton, el último de la fila, 0-3, en la última fecha. Eso le ha brindado mucha confianza para lo que viene. Además, ha disputado dignamente entre semana los cuartos de final de la Champions League, haciendo que el PSG se tambaleara en Villa Park. Ahora, de nuevo en ese escenario, busca retomar la senda de la victoria en el torneo local, aferrándose a esa primera parte de la tabla, la cual ocupa desde Diciembre del año pasado. El trabajo de Unai Emery ha sido sobresaliente, devolviéndole el entusiasmo a éste legendario club. Además, aunque algunos movimientos del invierno parece que no gustaron a todos, hoy el rendimiento le ha dado la razón al entrenador y han tenido un rendimiento sostenido. No parece, porque el inglés es sobresaliente en promover el juego aéreo, que muy bien le viene al versátil Isak, quien es el segundo en la tabla de goleadores con 21 goles. Además, Murphy también viene ayudando en la ofensiva al club, liderizando el departamento de asistencias, con once. Ambos jugadores están detrás de Salah en sus respectivos departamentos, un egipcio que parece estar en otro nivel. Las urracas son el club más goleador hasta ahora, totalizando 61 goles, con una buena disciplina, llegando a ser el tercer equipo con menos tarjetas amarillas.
