En palabras del propio técnico Pioli afirmo:“Es un orgullo para mí recibir este premio. Nils representaba la elegancia, el estilo y la sabiduría de ser un señor tanto fuera como dentro del campo. Transmitió muchos valores, yo estoy intentando poner mi pequeña parte”. Además comento su deseo de quedarse en el Milan por mucho tiempo entendiendo que se ha creado una muy buena relación entre todos y afirma "estar muy bien juntos".

La renovación del central Alessio Romagnoli sigue de puntillas, viendo que el club le quiere reducir el sueldo actual de 6 millones a uno de 3,5 que se estipuló en verano de 2018 por la gestión china(pandemia), ahora es el mejor pagado de la plantilla, ya que Zlatan al ser extranjero pesa menos sobre el balance (viendo los beneficios del decreto), donde el capitán Rossoneri espera no bajar de los 4,5 millones, pero no hay detalles al respecto, si bien se espera que a finales de mes haya una reunión al respecto.
