Dengan kemenagan ini. Borussia Dortmund berhasil memangkas jarak dinurutan kedua pada klasemen sementara Bundesliga dengan hanya memiliki selisih 1 poin saja dari pemuncak klasemen sementara Bayern Muenchen.
