That's your reason right there. It's all about the dollars at the end of the day for businesses and unfortunately that's the way the vast majority of sports have gone. It's like paying big money for Messi, Ronaldo, Beckham when they are past their best... They draw crowds and sell merch, simple as that..
It's scandalous and completely wrong, but as long as Conor wants to keep fighting, Dana will find a way to include him, and if he can get him on the top of the billing, better still, as like him or hate him, he is still a marketer's dream.
perfect way to put it. We all know that sports are about money it's just becoming annoyingly evident when it comes to McGregor. Most of the people I know that watch his events do so hoping he gets his butt whooped these days though.
To be honest, even the majority of Irish people are the same at this stage, mainly due to his antics outside the octagon, such as punching elderly men full force in the face... Classy, eh...
