19 March 2024: „OMG Arby‘s“ | 1 HSBI Giveaway
Einen wunderschönen guten Abend,
Mein Tag begann heute mit einem Früchtebecher. Die gibt es hier an jeder Ecke, und die Preise variieren extrem. Wie in jeder großen Stadt gilt auch hier: Je mehr man auf der Haupttouristenstraße ist, desto teurer wird es. Der Becher kostet beispielsweise auf der Hauptstraße zwischen 85 und 100 TL, was aktuell etwas mehr als 2 € entspricht. Indem ich in eine Parallelstraße gegangen bin, habe ich nur 50 TL bezahlt, etwas über 1,5 €. Für meine Apple Watch habe ich mir dann noch ein neues Armband geholt: auf der Hauptstraße 600 TL, knapp 17 €. In der Nebenstraße 200 TL, etwa 5,6 €. Die Gewinnmargen sind also für einige Händler enorm.
Insgesamt bin ich heute recht viel herumgekommen: Von Taksim zu Fuß nach Eminönü und mit der Fähre rüber nach Üsküdar zum Fenerbahçe-Stadion.

My day started today with a fruit cup. They are available on every corner here, and the prices vary tremendously. As in any big city, the closer you are to the main tourist street, the more expensive it gets. For example, on the main street, the cup costs between 85 and 100 TL, currently just over 2 €. By going into a side street, I only paid 50 TL, just over 1.5 €. I also got a new strap for my Apple Watch: 600 TL, about 17 €, on the main street. In the side street, it was 200 TL, roughly 5.6 €. So, the profit margins for some traders are enormous.
Overall, I got around quite a bit today: from Taksim on foot to Eminönü and then by ferry over to Üsküdar to the Fenerbahçe Stadium.
Wie sieht es mit den Kalorien aus?
Nachdem ich mit dem Früchtebecher meine Vitamine aufgestockt hatte, dachte ich mir, Fast Food wäre perfekt. Nein, Spaß beiseite, ich meinte schon gestern zu meiner Freundin, dass ich Fast Food nicht mehr sehen kann und heute etwas Vernünftiges essen möchte. Dann sind wir an einem Arby's vorbeigekommen, was meine Freundin noch nie probiert hatte, aber aus den USA kannte. Dementsprechend musste ich dort heute essen. Ich freue mich schon darauf, wenn ich wieder selbst koche.
What about the calories?
After topping up my vitamins with the fruit cup, I thought fast food would be perfect. Just kidding, I told my girlfriend yesterday that I can't stand fast food anymore and want to eat something sensible today. Then we came across an Arby's, which my girlfriend had never tried but knew from the USA. Consequently, I had to eat there today. I'm looking forward to cooking for myself again.

Keine Messung möglich. Ich müsste jetzt auf dem Stand von Samstag sein, die Kalorien, die ich gestern zu viel gegessen habe, müssten jetzt wieder ausgeglichen sein.

No measurement possible. I should be back to Saturday's level now, the excess calories I ate yesterday should be balanced out by now.

Die Preise sind ja wirklich dezent weit auseinander.
Merkt man die deutliche Inflation in der Türkei eigentlich sehr ? Man liest nicht grade viel Gutes über die wirtschaftliche Lage in der Türkei...
Ansonsten hast du wieder eine ordentliche Anzahl Schritte hingelegt! Sehr gut.

Ja die merkt man extrem. Als wir angekommen sind war der Wechselkurs bei 35,250 Lira pro Euro. Heute habe ich für 35.830 gewechselt. Sobald die Leute ihren Lohn bekommen gehen sie zu Wechselstuben und wechseln das Geld in Dollar oder Gold. Die Schlangen sind da teilweise wirklich sehr lang.
Zur jetztigen Jahreszeit kann man hier das ein oder andere Schnäppchen machen. Ich bin kein Fan von gefälschten Markenklamotten. Es gibt allerdings manche Pullis die von der Qualität wirklich gut sind (haben dann keine Marke drauf, sondern einfach nur so etwas wie "USA") , die bekommt man im Sommer nicht unter umgerechnet 13 - 15 Euro. Für meinen habe ich gestern umgerechnet 8,5€ bezahlt.
Ist aber teilweise echt hart mit anzusehen wie stark die Währung schwankt, aber mit negativer Tendenz.
Ach krass!
Das ist natürlich schon extrem, 3 Lira mehr in so kurzer Zeit....
Ich denke ja, die Qualität die angeboten wird ist nicht wirklich anders als bei vielen Marken.
Natürlich sind Fakes nicht der Sinn der Sache, aber recht neutrale Shirts gehen immer.
Und für 8€ macht man nicht viel falsch 😄
