Chili Pepper turns Purple!

My chili plant, which I grew from a tiny seed a few weeks ago, shows its first small fruits this week.
They are still purple in colour. The next colour stage will be yellow and finally, when they are ripe, the peppers will be fire red.
As I already raised this variety from a seed last year, I know the growth stages very well.
Last year I got about 20 chili pods from this plant and use them - whenever possible - in my kitchen.
Meine Chili Pflanze, die ich vor einigen Wochen aus einem winzigen Samen gezogen habe, zeigt diese Woche ihre ersten kleinen Früchte.
Noch sind sie violettfarben. Das nächste Farbstadium wird gelb und schließlich, wenn sie reif sind, werden die Schoten feuerrot sein.
Da ich letztes Jahr diese Sorte bereits aus einem Samen gezogen habe, kenne ich die Wachstumsphasen sehr gut.
Im letzten Jahr habe ich ca. 20 Chili Schoten aus dieser Pflanze bekommen und benutze sie - wann immer möglich - in meiner Küche.

hmmm...interesting, didn't know it started out as purple. Learned something today. Thank you.
Don't get me wrong. Normally chili pepper turn from green to orange and then to red. But this special variety changes the color from purple to yellow to orange and finally red.
What makes that one special, is it about its strength in terms of spiciness?
The changing of color as it ripens looks beautiful.
The spiciness is on a scale from 0 - 10 around 6 to 8.
About 5 times as hot as Tabasco Sauce.
Five times...? Wow, that's fiercely hot, isn't it?
Yes, it really is, but I am used to hot food. I love very hot dishes from India and Mexico. 😱👍
I see, yeah some people like hot food. My level of spiciness in food is at the lower level like 2 or 3, lol.
But I do enjoy different kinds of food from various countries. And just like you mentioned India and Mexico. And to add to that: Moroccan, Thai, Japanese, German, etc; just to name a few.
