My Actifitivity: December 1 2021
Wednesday.
Guess what?! I took a walk today.
Technically that makes it a #wednesdaywalk.
I decided I would walk all the way out back to the sand pit. That makes it more of a hike than a casual walk and I covered about 8km in this little afternoon adventure.
So the walk was more of a hike and the adventure was really just more of the usual same old.
But micro landscapes, microscapes, found in valleys of moss and hills of decaying wood, never get old.
I have a thing for mossy tree stumps. Usually they create wonderfully green landscapes, but sometimes they can turn into actual characters.
Anyone remember this guy?
Coincidentally it's been almost exactly one year ago that I gave him some eyes. I didn't leave the eyes behind but I still instantly recognize the guy.
Another little friend I recognized was this tiny little tree. It made it into one of my #takemorewalks cover images back in October 2020. It's amazing to see all the little details become familiar after traversing these woods for over a year and then some.
By the time I reached the sand pit the light had faded and there wasn't too much to see. But apparently I am not the only one who seeks new friendly faces in trees. Where I use googly eyes, they use a crayon.
It started raining while I walked back and dusk had passed as I reached the village.
