My Actifitivity: October 3 2022

Monday.

But it was a national holiday today.

The weather was so-so. Not too much rain.

I took a short walk into the forest in the morning where I passed by this particular tree stump we've looked at once before, two weeks ago.

 

 

This mysterious mold has grown quite a bit and its beautiful veil like structure has become even more pronounced.

 

 

Who knows what kind of secrets are beneath this veil. Fungi like this are not very well researched and despite its particular structure I have not been able to get a good ID on this one, it's likely some obscure variation of a slime mold?!

Interesting... Antrodia might be a good pointer... but I don't think it's a full match... might be some other subspecies, though.

Not sure how accurate these mushroom picture id apps can be?! I'm a bit on the fence about those.
