My Actifit Report Card: September 5 2022

(Edited)

The weather was clear and sunny so I decided to go on a different walk down to the little park across from the wood mill on the harbor.

It wasn't too hot out - just right - so I didn't bring my hat or put on sunscreen.
Sunscreen makes me feel like my pores are sealed, so I get sweltering hot while exercising. I don't like to wear sunscreen unless it is absolutely necessary. Allow at least 15 minutes of sun onto your skin before applying skin protection so you get the natural vitamin D3 from the sun as sunscreen will block the vitamins from the sunlight. Vitamin D3 can help depression and it helps your bones stay strong.

Cute Little Seagulls Waiting for Handouts

I saw my cute little seagulls again in the parking lot waiting patiently for hand outs. My little seagulls are adorable to me. I love birds very much!

I decided to head west towards the Wildlife Sanctuary from the Parking lot.

I covered ground quickly because it was all flat and at sea level. The wood mill is bigger than I thought because it stretched down the other side of the road for quite a ways. The wood mill looked liked they also produced sawdust material. I saw mountains of sawdust at the curve in the road.

Then I remembered I could get to the Wildlife Sanctuary on the back road that I was walking on.

I saw flocks of Canadian Geese sitting by the pond down by the sanctuary. These birds have been very beautiful and special to me for many years. The spirit of the Canadian geese were always freedom and beauty in my eyes.

One time I petted some Canadian Geese while eating lunch at a park in Seattle. I loved the feel of their feathers on their warm body and loved looking at their beautiful brown eyes. I fed them little pieces of food. The company of the geese was a warm and loving feeling to me.

I enjoyed my Labor Day Walk today down to the Park on the harbor, past the wood mill and to the wildlife sanctuary. I'm grateful I live in such a beautiful area of Washington State!

Birds are always fun to watch. Here in Illinois I get to see lots of hawks and red-winged blackbirds around the cornfields. There is also a heron at a pond nearby. !BBH

Looks like an awesome area to walk, Barb.
Great job on the activity.

Walking is one of the best activities for those of us in the "mature" age range.🙂

That looks like a nice peaceful place to walk. I was in Seattle when I was in the Navy. That was a long time ago. I did appreciate the weather there. Never got terribly hot when I was there. I was actually stationed in Bangor, WA at the Submarine Base in Kitsap County
