2023 NFL Team Power Rankings: #4 Buffalo Bills

For a few moments in time, it felt like the Bills and Chiefs had the potential to be the next Patriots/Colts rivalry from the 2000s. It still very well could be the case, but now the Bengals have entered the chat, as well as the Eagles. The Chargers and Jags are also looming in the background in the AFC in particular.

Basically, the NFL landscape has changed a lot in the past two years alone. Despite other teams on the rise and everything, I still feel like the Bills are right there with the best of them in the NFL. In fact, with other teams under the spotlight, it might be a good thing that the Bills are a little bit lost in the fray.

There's simply no reason to suggest the Bills won't be a contender as they have been in recent years past. Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs I expect will be as good as they have been, and now they're a bit more tested and seasoned. They have a quality culture and quality head coach in Sean McDermott and a consistently good defense. As long as the Bills don't lose their confidence and keep playing tough, they really might be a mild darkhorse to win the Super Bowl.

I don't know if it would utterly shock the world if the Bills won the whole thing, but it would still be an impressive feat. As good as I think they are, they do need to win some big games soon and just answer some questions. Are they clutch enough as a team, do they have the 'it' factor if that makes sense.

At the end of the day though, it seems pretty automatic that the Bills are a playoff team. I feel that they have the third best QB in the league in Josh Allen and the fifth best receiver in Stefon Diggs.

The AFC East seems really exciting this season, but until proven otherwise, the Bills are the top dawgs of that division.
