Cards From My Personal Collection: Orlando Cabrera 2003 Topps Baseball Card

The good old Expos gear. I remember watching the Expos a bit! They were a thing still when I watched the game with my papou. Good times man.

Orlando Cabrera had a nice career in the MLB as a shortstop that spanned from 1997-2011. He played for the Expos, Red Sox, Angels, White Sox, Athletics, Twins, Reds, Indians, and Giants. That might be a long list, but teams still wanted him for fifteen seasons!

I always felt as if Cabrera was an All-Star level player but he never quite got the honor unfortunately. He had a career high .301 batting average in 2007 as an Angel and a career high of 17 home runs in 2003 with the Expos. Cabrera stole 20+ bases five times with a career high of 27 in 2006. He also won two Gold Gloves and a World Series with the Red Sox in 2004.

Cabrera retired in early 2012. He finished his career with 2,055 hits, 123 home runs, 216 stolen bases, and a .272 batting average.
