Eric Chavez 1999 Topps Stadium Club - Oakland Athletics Third Baseman
Eric Chavez is another personal favorite athlete of mine. I have a lot of good memories watching him play while growing up. He was a big part of the Oakland Athletics for a long time. He was a good power-hitting third baseman.
Surprisingly, Chavez was never actually named an All-Star in his career, but nevertheless he had a very good career.
In his seventeen years as a pro baseball player, Chavez achieved:
- 260 homeruns
- 1,477 hits
- 902 R.B.I.'s
- 6x Gold Glove award winner
- 1x Silver Slugger award winner
Another cool aspect of his career, I expect not many people know about, is that he was actually a cover athlete on a video game! A game I grew up playing on my PS2. Great memories.
Here is the card!
I'm very glad I own this card, definitely a great find! One of my fovorite Athletics :)
