Phillies get surprised by the White Sox and lose 6-2 in opening game of the series

Well, yesterday was a bit disappointing to say the least. Many people were hoping to see the Phillies hopefully get a sweep of the not so great Chicago White Sox. The White Sox aren't as bad as they were in 2024 but they're still one of the weaker teams in the sport. But at least they didn't lose any ground on the Mets in the NL East despite the loss, the Phillies are still a game and a half back.

Cristopher Sánchez delivered a winnable outing for the Phils, but it wasn't exactly as sharp as we're used to. I'm not sweating it! It was just one of those off days, and it still was decent! Bryce Harper continues to stay pretty hot as he drove in the Phillies only runs and went 2 for 4. He really does seem locked in I'm telling ya! After Bryce's intense meeting with the MLB Commissioner maybe he's even more motivated to have a legendary 2025 finish.

Jesús Luzardo can hopefully find a form of success tonight as he's had a rough couple of weeks here. It would be nice to see him even get through, let's say, at least five scoreless innings tonight. Start small against a weaker team and build some momentum!
