Well, it wasn't very easy but after yesterday's victory, the Phillies indeed won the series vs the Nationals! Ranger Suárez struck out a career high 11 batters on his way to his tenth victory of 2025! I was worried Ranger might struggle in the second half of the season as he did last year, but he's proving so far that he can pitch well after the All-Star break. I hope he stays locked in as the Phillies have lost Zack Wheeler for the rest of the year. Maybe this will give Ranger more motivation who knows, maybe he'll try and put the team on his back from a pitching perspective.

While yesterday was big as it gave the Phillies a seven game lead in the N.L. East, the Phillies will be facing the very team seven games behind the Phillies in the New York Mets tonight! In fact, the Phillies have seven games left against the Mets! Sure, seven games is a lot but with that many games left versus the Mets, things are mildly spooky. If the Mets find success versus the Phillies not only will it help them in the standings but it could cause the Mets to catch fire. The Phillies know from experience what it's like when the Mets get hot.

BUT the Phillies could also BURY the Mets once and for all if the Phillies play well. Interesting times indeed. The Mets are in the final Wild Card position so man it would feel pretty awesome to somehow eliminate the Mets from playoff contention PERIOD.

Phillies got to look to dominate! It will be a playoff atmosphere for sure!!!

Luckily Cristopher Sánchez is on the hill, he should do well I predict!!
