The Machine and the Sixers traveled to The Windy City to face the Chicago Bulls and got a well earned victory. Coby White is a pretty tough matchup for The Machine but The Machine still managed to play well enough to earn The Player of the Game award. He finished with:

  • 15 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists
  • Teammate Grade: A-
  • Player of the Game

It's been a fun rookie year!

🌎My Thoughts on the Sports World Today🌎

In the real world, the UFC travels up to Seattle tonight. I'm surprised the UFC is allowed up there these days with how sensitive that city and state is. I'd figure they'd consider it too violent or something.

But yes Israel Adesanya continues his storied career tonight against upcoming power puncher Joe Pyfer. Despite losing three straight fights, Adesanya is still ranked #4 in the middleweight rankings. Adesanya still has a lot of star power for the most part and has only lost to top contenders during his losing streak. He was last champion roughly two and a half years ago now.

This is a massive fight for Israel's legacy and a huge opportunity for Joe Pyfer who is currently #14. He can rocket into the top five and change his life with a victory.

I get the feeling that Pyfer is going to gas out and Israel will bounce back with a solid win tonight. Interestingly though, Pyfer is seven years younger and I didn't actually realize the age difference was quite that large. I'm curious to see the speed and/or athleticism difference between the two fighters.

I still lean towards Israel but it would be cool to see Pyfer win since he fights from somewhat my area of the globe. He's from New Jersey and fights out of Philly.

The NBA MVP race is pretty interesting. It's slowly crawled to a two-man race between Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama. Luka Dončić and Nikola Jokić have respectable chances still. I also believe Jaylen Brown deserves some consideration.

I really don't like SGA's play style and Wemby seems to be getting more arrogant by the day. But I think Wemby probably deserves it the most because he impacts all phases of the game in a big way. I'd strongly consider Jaylen Brown too though.

I think the NBA Finals matchup will likely be Spurs-Celtics! I still believe in my Sixers though!

The NBA is heating up towards the playoffs, the NFL Draft is in 26 days, the MLB just began, the UFC is fighting at the White House in about 78 days! March Madness is also happening but that doesn't interest me too greatly, but it's still fun. The sports world is busy!

Can't believe we are already practically in April! Time flies...

The sports world never sleeps, till next time!
