My Actifit Report Card: September 2 2022

Hey Actifit fam!

Went for my first walk in almost 3 weeks since suffering a leg injury that I knew would keep me down for a bit. Took it real easy and just tested my limits but thankfully got a full 30 minutes in and probably could’ve kept going. Will try to continue daily if possible!

What pushed me to go wasn’t the physical need, but a psychological one. I’ve been in a deep rut creatively and emotionally since the injury and finally hit a boiling point where I needed to do something physical to clear my head. Walking or the gym have always been that for me and thankfully today was no different.

It’s crazy to think we’re 2/3 done with the year. So much to do yet so little time. Time to get after it!

I understand how you feel completely! If something is keeping me from hiking, it's okay for the first day or so, but eventually, I just need to GO!

Being outside helps change our state of mind. It's a good thing. Take it easy and be careful with your injury. Nice jobw with your 8551 @actifit steps for the day! Take care!

Thanks Elizabeth! Yes there's just something about being active and being outside. It's so good for not just physical but mental health too. I just wish TX had cool places to hike, I'm a little envious!

I don't like the heat and humidity either and lately, every summer here has been that way! In a few months, the rainy season will begin and then we will wish for warmer, drier weather. Lol, we are never satisfied! Oh well.....I hope you get a break in the heat soon. Take care!
