The home team built a 15-point lead early on, led by Tyler Herro and a surprising Norman Powell. It looked like LA’s 7-game winning streak would come to an end.
Despite Luka’s 12 points in the first quarter, the team wasn’t clicking. But in the second, the Lakers started to close the gap. LeBron James didn’t miss a single shot (he went into halftime perfect) and the defense started to tighten up. With a 30-23 run, the Lakers got within striking distance, heading into the locker room down by just 6.
It was in the second half at this point that the “Symphony” shifted gears. Luka Doncic scored 19 of his 60 points in this period. He hit three straight three-pointers to give the Lakers their first lead, 72-71, and they never looked back. Miami had no answer to the Slovenian’s barrage, missing 10 of their 12 three-point attempts in the quarter.

He became the first player in NBA history to record 60+ points, 9+ three-pointers, and 5+ steals in a single game. Additionally, it is the highest point total by an opponent against the Heat in franchise history.
LeBron James contributed 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. He recorded a historic triple-double on a night that marked his 1,611th game, tying Robert Parish’s “Iron Man” record. It’s crazy that at 41 years old, he’s still playing at that level.
Luka scored 20 points in the fourth quarter to seal the Lakers’ eighth consecutive victory. The Lakers defeated the Heat 134–126 in what was a historic night for the league.
