My favorite biking trip ever! 🚲

I love cycling! I think I started loving it when I moved to Denmark in 2016. Obviously, Denmark's cyclying infrastruture is AMAZING - next left stuff! Naturally, because of the well established paths, it made it easier for me to enjoying riding more often.

I was riding my bike almost everyday, specially in summer time. When I was living in Aalborg, I used to ride it as far as the next towns - but Denmark is so small, I think in a day I was doind maximum 80km for a very long ride, with a stop near the beach of course - to enjoy some of Denmark's most beautiful landscapes and natural parks.

When I moved to Copenhagen, it became even more exciting. They have this very long bike path which basically goes all the way up through the coast. The views there are SPECTACULAR. That would cover approximately 50km (one way).

One day, we had this crazy idea of going all the way up from the Danish side, cross to Sweden and come back from Swedish side. It was the most wonderful trip ever. We packed ssome sandwiches, water and coffee for ourselves and we started cycling early in the morning. At around lunch time, we took the ferry to cross to Sweden. Denmark and Sweden are very close to each other - they are just connected by the Øresund Bridge, which is the longest rail and road bridge in Europe (CRAZY right? - I used to cross it every day to go to work!).

Once in the other side, we started slowly going down. Something that really shocked me is that the infrastructure in Sweden is not comparable to the Danish side. NOT AT ALL. It was a bit more uncomforable to ride there, but we still managed to finish. Even though the infrasture was not as good, it was also very beautiful to ride there!

As you can see in the picture, it took us 120.6 km in total and about 6h and 30min. We were not going with road bikes, so we were really not going fast and we were also taking some breaks in between to enjoy a bit of sightseeing!

Anyways, I loved it and certainly hope I will be able to do it again at some point!

Have you ever done anything like this before?
