This is a Platanus orientalis tree whose leaves have completely fallen in winter.
The fruit is swaying in the wind.

The sky was clear blue on this day and it was a very pleasant weather.
The branches of the Platanus orientalis tree also emerged clearly against the blue sky.


これは冬になってすっかり葉が落ちた、プラタナスの木です。
実が風に揺れています。

この日は空が真っ青に晴れて、とても気持ちの良い天気でした。
プラタナスの木の枝も、青空をバックにくっきりと浮かび上がりました。

When the leaves fall, the fruits stand out.
The fruit swaying in the wind is cute.

In Japanese, "Platanus" is called "Suzukake no Ki".
Is it because it looks like a bell is hung?

When I looked it up, it wasn't.
The shape of the fruit of the tree is said to be derived from the costume that Yamabushi wears on his chest.
It resembles a decorative spherical bunch, and the bunch is called "Suzukake".


葉が落ちてしまうと、実が目立ちます。
風に揺れる実が可愛らしいです。

日本語で「プラタナス」は「鈴懸の木」と呼びます。
まるで「鈴を掛けている様に見えるから」でしょうか。

調べてみたらそれは違いました。
木の果実の形状が、山伏が胸にまとう装束に由来するそうです。
装飾的な球形の房に似ていて、その房のことを「鈴懸」と呼ぶのだそうです。

Soon this tree will also be overgrown with new green leaves.
And in the summer, it will create a cool shade and share a gentle place.


もうすぐこの木にも新しい緑の葉が生い茂るでしょう。
そして、夏には涼しい木陰を作って、優しい場所をシェアしてくれるはずです。

今日も晴れて暖かい日になりました。
いや、もう暖かいというより「暑い」くらいですね。
桜もあっと言う間に散ってしまい、今は花粉が飛び交っています。
春真っ只中です。
