My Actifit Report Card: February 13 2024| Starbucks on February 13th./2月13日のスターバックス/[ENG/JPN]

If you haven't noticed, tomorrow is Valentine's Day.
Starbucks had released a drink and cake menu with chocolate as the main ingredient.
Two of my seniors and juniors at work like sweets and coffee, so they invited me and the three of us went to Starbucks.

I am not so good at sweets, but I have a weakness for "limited time only" products anyway (laugh).
I'm sure the pastry chefs who make "limited time only" products must put their heart and soul into it.
That's what I think, and I'm sure they must be delicious.

I purchased the Chocolate Rice Flour Muffins.
My senior purchased the Chocolate Cake.
Both the muffin and this chocolate cake are only available during Valentine's Day.
And we both ordered light coffee for our drinks.

My junior girlfriend ordered a chocolate drink, which is only available during this season.
Instead, we bought some sweets but took them home.
After all, this chocolate drink is very sweet and highly concentrated!
It is quite high in calories for a drink to be served with sweets.

I took a sip of this chocolate drink and wow! It is so sweet! I felt that it was very sweet.
There was plenty of whipped cream on top.

I like coffee and carry a bottle of coffee with me on a daily basis.
I make a lot of thin coffee in my home coffee maker and put it in an insulated bottle.
I make it in the morning and take it to work or wherever I am going.

Most of the coffee beans I use can be purchased inexpensively at the supermarket, but sometimes I buy them at Starbucks this way.
When I buy at Starbucks, I like to read the notations that describe the origin and flavor characteristics of the coffee beans.

After that, I also like many of the packaging designs that hold the Starbucks beans.
Some are very chic and colorful, while others are bright and shiny like this one.

It is fun to see this packaging together with the explanation of where the beans come from and what they taste like.

I wonder if Honduras, where these beans come from, is a country of bright sunshine.
I am going to enjoy them tomorrow.

気がつくと明日はバレンタインデーです。
スターバックスでチョコレートをメインに使ったドリンクとケーキメニューが発売されてました。
会社の先輩と後輩に甘いものとコーヒーが好きな2名がいて、誘ってもらって3人でスターバックスへ行ってきました。

私は甘いものがそれほど得意ではないけど、とにかく「期間限定」というのに弱いです（笑）
「きっと「期間限定」の製品を作るお菓子職人さんたちは、魂を込めているに違いない」
そう思ってしまって、きっと美味しいだろうな、と思ってしまうんです。

私は「チョコレートの米粉マフィン」を購入しました。
先輩はチョコレートケーキを購入しました。
マフィンもこのチョコレートケーキも、バレンタインの時期のみの限定品だそうです。
そして、私たち2名は、ドリンクは軽めのコーヒーをオーダーしました。

後輩の彼女は、この季節限定のチョコレートドリンクを注文しました。
その代わり、お菓子は購入したけど持ち帰りでした。
なんせこのチョコレートドリンクがとっっっっっても甘くて高濃度なんです！
スイーツと一緒にいただくドリンクとしては、なかなかにハイカロリー。

このチョコレートドリンクを一口いただきましたが、わお！甘ーい！と感じました。
上には生クリームがたっぷりと乗せてありました。

私はコーヒーが好きで、日常的にコーヒーをボトルに入れて持ち歩いています。
自宅のコーヒーメーカーで薄めのコーヒーをたくさん作って、保温ボトルに入れます。
朝、それを作って会社やお出かけ先に持って行きます。

使うコーヒー豆は、お安くスーパーマーケットで購入できるものが多いですが、たまにはこうしてスターバックスで購入することもあります。
スターバックスで購入する時は、コーヒー豆の産地や味わいの特徴を書いてある表記を読むのが好きです。

後は、スターバックスの豆を入れているパッケージデザインも好きなものが多いです。
とてもシックな色使いのものから、このような光り輝く明るい色使いのものもあります。

豆の産地と味わいの解説と、このパッケージを合わせて見るのは楽しいものです。
私はそのつながりを見つけようとしてしまいます。

この豆の産地のホンジュラスは太陽の明るい国なのかなぁ、と思いを馳せます。
明日から美味しくいただこうと思います。

■ひとこと日記
今日は全国的にとても暖かい日だったようですね。
今年は寒波が突然やってきて大雪を降らせたかと思ったら、急に暖かくなります。
私が頻繁にスキーへ行っていた時は、こういう時は雪崩が怖かったなぁ。
スキーに行かれる方々が安全に楽しめますように。
