She was originally a transfer student and moved to the school district I was in when I was in the 5th grade? She moved to the school district where I also belonged when I was in the 5th grade.
We became friends when we started taking the same piano lessons, and we also attended the same junior high school.

She had a very calm personality, was aloof, and would "pass the buck" rather than "face" difficult situations.
Even in situations of great responsibility, she would behave in such a way that you would not feel any pressure.
When I think about it, she already had that kind of atmosphere when I was in junior high school. You were a mature person.

And although he was good at playing the piano, he eventually became more passionate about the violin, and went on to high school where there was a music department, and although we drifted apart in high school, we met a few years later and he told me about how he continued to play the violin.

She was 18 years old and a freshman in college at the time, and I was 17 and in high school. She was already a member of an orchestra and had just returned from a trip to Europe for its performance and training.

She told me a story about her stay in Germany for about three days, where she told me about her dinner "Kartes Essen".

And for dinner, people often have a well-cooked, hot meal.
But in Germany, it is the opposite.

So I was shown a picture of what Caltes Essen looked like, and it was so stylish.
Yes, just like the picture in my article today (LOL).

I was in high school at the time, so I couldn't drink wine, but in that picture there was wine, cheese, and fruit.
Of course, there was also bread and ham and sausage.
There was also a simple salad, and at the time I was impressed by the stylish table setting.

The picture of this time stayed with me for a long time, and after that, when I read foreign novels

The picture in this article is a quartes essen I tried to prepare at home during Christmas time in 2023.

In Japan, it's ingrained in us to "eat warm" or "eat hot food" and we usually do so.
In my mind, now and then, "Kartes Essen is a stylish meal," so I enjoy it on special occasions.

This past Christmas, the wine in the photo was on sale at a discount, so I decided to go with the Cartes Essen.
When I find a delicious ham, a delicious sausage, or a delicious cheese, I will set a date to enjoy Cartes Essen again.

私の中学校の時の1学年上の先輩にピアノとバイオリンを習っている女性がいました。
彼女はもともと転校生で、小学校の5年生？の頃に私も所属していた学区に引っ越して来られました。
同じピアノ教室に通うことになって親しくなって、中学校も同じ中学校に通いました。

とっても穏やかな性格の女性で、飄々としていて、困難なことがあった時は「立ち向かう」というより「受け流す」ような方でした。
責任重大な場面でも、そのようなプレッシャーを感じさせない振る舞いをする人でした。
よく考えてみたら、中学校の時はもうそんな雰囲気でした。大人びた人だったなぁ。

そして、ピアノも上手でしたが、そのうちバイオリンの方に熱中されて、高校は音楽科がある高校へ進学されて、私は高校は離れ離れになってしまいましたが、数年後に出会って、バイオリンの演奏を続けている話をしてくれました。

その時彼女は18歳で大学1年生、私が17歳で高校生だったのですが、彼女はすでに管弦楽団に所属されていて、その演奏旅行と研修でヨーロッパへ行って帰ってきたところでした。

ドイツに3日間程度滞在した時の話として、夕食の「カルテスエッセン」の話をしてくれました。
現地ではドイツに長くお住まいの日本人音楽家の方が、観光も含めてアテンドをしてくださったそうなのですが、その時に「カルテスエッセン」について聞いたのだそうです。

日本の習慣としては、どちらかと言えば「昼ごはんはささっと軽く済ませてすぐに仕事に戻る」
そして「夜ごはんはしっかり調理された温かいものをしっかり食べる」ということが多いです。
でもドイツは逆で、夜は軽食で済ませるんだよ、という話でした。

それで、カルテスエッセンの様子の写真を見せてもらったのですが、それがめちゃくちゃオシャレだったのです。
そう、今日の私の記事の写真のように（笑）

当時の私は高校生でしたからワインは飲めませんが、その写真にはワインとチーズとフルーツがありました。
もちろん、パンとハムやソーセージもありました。
そして簡単なサラダが写っていて、当時の私はそのお洒落なテーブルセッティングに感動しました。

この時の写真は長く私の心に残っていて、その後も海外の小説を読んだ時に
「彼はハムとチーズとパンで、簡単な夕食を済ませた」という文章が出てくると、その小説の舞台がアメリカであってもカルテスエッセンを思い浮かべていました。（笑）

この記事の写真は、2023年のクリスマスの時期に、私が自宅で準備してみたカルテスエッセンです。

しかし、サラミを食べていて
「これはちょっと焼いた方が美味しいかも」と思って、結局調理をしてしまいました。
まあ、サラミやソーセージを焼くくらいはアリなのでは…。

そうそう！
クリスマスの時期に、actifitのアイコンがサンタクロースの帽子をかぶって走っていました。
同じ赤色なのでとても似合っているのですが、サンタクロースの帽子をかぶって、前傾姿勢でダッシュしているアイコンの姿に笑ってしまいました。

そしてエンジェルもサンタクロース帽子をかぶっていましたね。
こちらも可愛くて微笑ましくて、スクリーンショットを撮っていたのでした。

日本だと「温めて食べる」「温かいものを食べる」というのが根付いていて、通常そうしています。
私の中では今も昔も「カルテスエッセンはお洒落な食事」なので、特別な日に楽しんでいます。

このクリスマスの時は写真のワインがお安くなっていたので、はっと思いついてカルテスエッセンにしたのです。
「美味しそうなハム」「美味しそうなソーセージ」「美味しそうなチーズ」を見つけたら、またカルテスエッセンを楽しむ日を設定しようと思います。

■ひとこと日記
土曜日の夜から雨が降り始めました。
そして昨日の日曜日も、今日の月曜日もずっと雨が降っています。
どうやら今週はずっと雨が降るようです。
例年であれば今の時期は全て雪のはずですが、今年の冬は本当に暖かいです。
