Microgreen Walk / マイクログリーン散歩（My Actifit Report Card: March 11 2024）

In winter in Germany, because of the cold weather, I often go for a walk at the Hauptbahnhof (main station) on Sundays. In Germany, stores are closed on Sundays, but some stores in the station are open. Depending on the day, I walk or take the tram. Yesterday, it was warm, so I walked to earn extra steps to be ready to post on @actifit.

I took my usual course, which included a drugstore, a coffee shop selling general merchandise as well, a stationery shop, a flower shop, another drugstore, an organic store, a bookstore, and finally one more organic store.

The florist is a big chain so no worries, but I feel I mast support the organic stores and I make the rounds every time. I don't buy much, but saying "good luck" in my heart and enjoy finding interesting things.

The gardening season is starting and a microgreens project is getting underway, so my attention was drawn to microgreens. Organic stores sell microgreens that are already grown. Supermarkets also sell common microgreens, but there are some varieties that I can't find in supermarkets.

There were also a variety of growing kits and seeds. Not only organic stores but also a coffee shop had kits. It was 27 euros. I liked the design with wood and Weck glasses but it was too expensive for me and I thought I couldn't make space for it.

Growing your own microgreens gives you more variety than what is sold even in organic stores. Various seeds and seed mixes are available at organic stores.

There was also a mix with Adzuki beans (red beans), which I usually use to make Japanese sweet red bean paste Anko. Also, it was interesting that there was mung beans from Austria. Most of them are from China. It may be an option to reduce stress to the environment by buying the beans from a country near by.

I grow with the standard garden cress and a mix of lentils and mustard seeds, but I'd love to explore new flavors.

There was one kit that had been on my mind for a long time, so I bought it to try things out.

I was in the mood to walk, so I walked back home. I don't know why, but there was a block on a street that I couldn't help thinking of @go-kyo, so I'll post a picture.

There was a cherry tree in bloom that didn't seem to belong to anyone, so I took some branches.

That was my Sunday microgreen walk. Since I've gained tips about growing microgreens from my failures and successes, I'll try to compile them into a post soon.

冬は寒いこともあって、日曜日は中央駅に散歩をしに行くことが多いです。ドイツでは日曜日はお店が閉まりますが、中央駅の一部のお店は開いているのです。日によって歩いて行ったり、路面電車に乗って行ったりですが、昨日は暖かかったので歩数を稼ぎがてら歩いて行きました。

いつものコースで、ドラッグストア、雑貨を売っているコーヒー屋さん、文房具屋さん、お花屋さん、ドラッグストアをもう一軒、オーガニックショップ、本屋さん、最後にもう一つオーガニックショップを見て回りました。

お花屋さんは大きなチェーン店なので心配ありませんが、オーガニックショップはサポートも兼ねて毎回見回りをします。そんなに買うわけではないのですが、がんばってね！というのと、おもしろいものをみつけに。

ガーデニングシーズンが始まりつつあり、マイクログリーンのプロジェクトも動き始めたので、マイクログリーンに目がいきました。オーガニックショップではすでに育った状態のマイクログリーンが売られています。スーパーでも一般的なマイクログリーンは売っていますが、スーパーにはない種類ものも。

栽培キットや種もいろいろありました。オーガニックショップだけでなく、雑貨屋さんにもキットがありました。木の台にWeckグラスと水を切るためのプラスチックの板がはまったものです。27ユーロだったかな（4300円！）と高かったのと場所をとりそうだったのとでこれはパス。

自分で育てるとオーガニックショップで売られている以上にいろいろな種類を楽しめます。

小豆の入ったミックスもありました。あと、これまでもやしのムング豆は中国からの輸入品ばかりだったのですが、なんとお隣のオーストリア産のものがありました。環境負荷減らせるかな？次回買うときにオーストリア産のものを試してみたいと思いました。

私は定番のガーデンクレスと、レンズ豆やマスタードシードのミックスを使って育てていますが、プロジェクトをきっかけに新しい味を開拓したいです。

一つ長らく気になっていたキットがあったので、ものは試しということで購入してみました。

歩きたい気分だったので、帰りも歩いて帰ってきました。なんでかわかりませんが @go-kyo さんを思い出さずにはいられないブロックが道にあったので写真を貼っておきます。

誰のものでもなさそうな桜が咲いていたので枝をいただきました。ありがとう！

そんなこんなの日曜日のマイクログリーン散歩でした。マイクログリーン栽培の失敗談やコツなど個人的な知見がたまってきたので、近々一つの投稿にまとめようと思います。
