Silent walk under sunshine / 春の日の静かな散歩（My Actifit Report Card: March 30 2024）

My mother passed away around this time last year. I wanted to have some peace and quiet this weekend, so my family went to a theme park, but I decided to go for a walk by myself.

The photo at the beginning is not from today's walk. It was taken at the hotel in Berlin where I stayed last week. Belgian waffles was one of the special sweets for me and my mother. It was popular when I was still living at her place, we tried many from various stores, and finally we even bought a waffle maker and special sugar to make them at home. She taught me me how to enjoy delicious food and cooking.

I remember my mother and her parents a lot associated with food. I did so too today while I was seeing three organic stores including one a bit far away. I was glad to see that all the organic stores seemed to be doing well.

It was the beginning of the gardening season in Germany, the gardening country, so it was fun to see the seedlings and seeds were sold everywhere. My mother liked gardening and we tried many plants in limited space. I wanted to show this to her.

The city was busy with the Easter markets. There was a store selling wooden accessories and I bought one simple one. The price was 5 euros, and I liked that I could wear it casually in the garden, in everyday life. Would it be an item that would remind me of my grandparents and mother who loved gardening? 😊

Although I was happy to buy the nice necklace, I didn't feel like being in the middle of the busy market for long, so I slipped out of the market and came back home. It was the first time this year over 20 degrees Celsius. It was a nice, quiet walk in the sun.

昨年のこの時期に母が亡くなり、今週末は静かに過ごしたくて、家族はテーマパークに行きましたが、私は一人で散歩に出かけることにしました。

冒頭の写真は今日の散歩とは関係なく、先週滞在したベルリンのホテルで撮った写真です。ベルギーワッフルは子供の頃に流行ったときに母とあれこれ試して、最後にはワッフルメイカーや特別な砂糖まで買って家でも作った思い出のお菓子なのです。

母はおいしいものや料理の楽しさを教えてくれたななんて考えごとをしながら、ちょっと遠いオーガニックショップも含めて3軒のぞきました。どのオーガニックショップも元気そうでよかったです。

ガーデニング大国ドイツ、ガーデニングシーズンの始まりということで、苗や種が売られていて見ていて楽しかったです。

街中はイースターマーケットで盛り上がっていました。木製のネックレスを売っていたお店があって、シンプルなものを一つ購入しました。お値段は5ユーロで、日常で、庭でカジュアルにつけられそうなところを気に入りました。ガーデニングが好きだった祖父母、母を思い出す品になるかな？

いいネックレスを買えたのはうれしかったものの、あまりにぎわいの中にいる気分ではなく、マーケットをするっと抜けて家に戻ってきました。今年初めての20度ごえの昼下がり、太陽の光を浴びながら静かに気持ちのよい散歩でした。
