My Actifit Report Card: May 3 2022

Another day at the office with the weather telling me summer has gone and the cold cold embrace of winter is slowly caressing my skin by way of greeting me in is grasp.

@pinkhub I worked out with no sweat. It was cold and even after doing flat and inclined bench press I barely dropped a sweat.

I even have slacks on my legs just to keep myself warm in between sets.

A very basic routine of normal wide and close grip alternating between flat and inclined. Reps of ten reach grip, roughly six different sets. Weight starting at two and a half on the bar, increasing by two and a half kilos each six set until I am struggling to lift comfortably.

It really is hard to sweat there isn't it? But I think even if you don't sweat but the fact that you are working out I guess that works I guess?

Nice. How many sets and reps do u do? what weight u lift? I haven't had any real weights (like gym kind), so just been doing pushups and lifting shopping bags full of filled soda bottles (filled with water) there is a limit of 6 botttles per bag tho. I guess I could add another bag tho..

If I calculate the reps it would be,

Flat bench
Normal grip - from 2.5 kg, increasing each set by 2.5kg all the way to 20kg = 8 sets of 10
Wide grip - from 2.5 kg, increasing each set by 2.5kg all the way to 20kg = 8 sets of 10
Close grip - from 2.5 kg, increasing each set by 2.5kg all the way to 20kg = 8 sets of 10

Inclined bench
Normal grip - from 2.5 kg, increasing each set by 2.5kg all the way to 20kg = 8 sets of 10
Wide grip - from 2.5 kg, increasing each set by 2.5kg all the way to 20kg = 8 sets of 10
Close grip - from 2.5 kg, increasing each set by 2.5kg all the way to 20kg = 8 sets of 10

It would amount to 480 reps, I like this because it allows me to work from warm up to full burn. The low weight allows me to not rush. The equipment I have has been with me since I was a teen, except for the kettle bells, which are fairly new. My goal is not size, its functional strength hence the high repetition.
