La VI edición del Clásico Mundial de Béisbol culminó su fase de grupos, con alguna que otra sorpresa y dejó la escena lista para que a partir de mañana se desarrollen la llamada "muerte súbita" en la que los ocho conjuntos que quedan con vida lucharán por levantar el trofeo que los acreditará como campeones del mundo el 17 de marzo en el LoanDepot Park de la ciudad de Miami. Hoy daré mi humilde opinión sobre los temibles cruces de cuartos de final
Korea del Sur 🆚 República Dominicana
Ambos conjuntos tuvieron una fase de grupos totalmente distinta, los asiáticos tuvieron que esperar a la última fecha y al TQB (sistema de desempate) para avanzar hasta esta instancia tras derrotar a la selección australiana y vengarse de la eliminación sufrida en la anterior edición a manos de los de la isla continente. En cambio la República Dominicana desplegó un poderío ofensivo muy grande en sus cuatro presentaciones de este Clásico, imponiendo récord de vuelacercas para los primeros cuatro partidos de una selección en la historia de estos eventos con 11 cuadrangulares

Los bambinos italianos sacudieron todos los pronósticos de los especialistas al llevarse el grupo B con récord inmaculado de cuatro victorias en igual cantidad de salidas al diamante, incluso derrotando a los favoritos para quedarse con el grupo: Estados Unidos y México en una de las mayores sorpresas del torneo. El Team Rubio en cambio llega con más incertidumbre que nunca, mermado ofensivamente, amén de las bajas de peloteros claves, no pudieron dominar su grupo clasificatorio delante de su afición

Los venezolanos con su juego alegre han demostrado que pueden sacarle un susto a cualquiera, solamente el trabuco dominicano se le interpuso en el camino para relegarlos en el grupo. En tanto, los samuráis no creyeron en sus rivales y dominaron a placer ante su hermosa afición que repletó el Tokio Dome, demostrando la pasión por el deporte de las bolas y los strikes en suelo nipón
