El combinado dominicano al Clásico Mundial ya está clasificado a cuartos de final a falta del partidazo de mañana miércoles ante Venezuela por el liderato del grupo y evitar a Japón en cuartos. El Team RD se ha hecho sentir y de que manera en esta sexta edición del mayor evento beisbolero del mundo, ganando todos sus partidos por diez o más carreras, aceptando los pronósticos de los especialistas de MLB, quienes lo dieron como tercer lugar del torneo, por detrás de Estados Unidos y Japón. En este escrito estaremos repasando las claves del buen accionar del llamado Plátano Power
Ambiente del vestuario
Desde siempre, los equipos dominicanos han tenido constelaciones de estrellas jugando y brillando en el mejor béisbol del mundo y siempre han tenido un problema que solo se resolvió en el 2013, cuando fueron campeones y parece que en este Clásico han resuelto ese problema también: el EGO. El gerente general de la República Dominicana, el futuro Hall of Fame, Nelson Cruz, se dió cuenta del problema de su selección en el último Clásico, cuando no pudieron pasar de la fase de grupos. Entonces recurrió al llamado de su amigo Albert Pujols, uno de los mejores latinos que han pasado por el Big Show con más de 700 vuelacercas (703), más de 3000 hits (3384) y más de 2000 hombres traídos al plato (2218), 296 de average en 21 temporadas en la Gran Carpa, además de múltiples premios a lo larga de su extensa y fructífera carrera, en dónde ganó dos Series Mundiales, novato del año, tres premios MVP, dos Guantes de Oro y once veces fue seleccionado al Juego de Estrellas. Quien mejor que él para aglutinar el vestuario
Ofensiva arrolladora
El bateo dominicano ha sido en estos tres partidos de la fase de grupos ha sido completamente demoledora. El cuerpo de lanzadores está también muy valorado en el Team RD. Menos a Christopher Sánchez el primer día ante Nicaragua, los demás lanzadores del conjunto dominicano se han comportado a gran nivel, tanto así que los relevistas no han permitido carreras en todo el certamen. Lanzallamas de la talla de Camilo Doval, Abner Uribe, Seranthony Domínguez, Wandy Peralta, Albert Abreu han aportado su granito de arena para que los muchachos de Quisqueya La Bella sigan soñando con su segundo Clásico Mundial
