Hola a todos los amigos de la comunidad. El día de hoy mi escrito será para repasar lo que nos dejó la final del Clásico Mundial en dónde Venezuela se lo creyó y lo logró: derrotó a Estados Unidos en la final del Clásico Mundial y obtuvo su primer titulo en la historia de estos eventos
La vinotinto llegaba a su primera final contra todo pronóstico, eliminando al hasta ese entonces vigente monarca y máximo ganador de estos torneos. Se enfrentaban a los locales estadounidenses, quienes llegaban a su tercera final de forma consecutiva y con la espina clavada de la final perdida en la última edición ante los japoneses
Cómo dijo el dirigente venezolano Robinson Chirinos, después del partido semifinal ante Italia, estuvieron hasta las cuatro y media de la madrugada analizando cada detalle del conjunto de las barras y las estrellas.... Y el plan salió a la perfección. La Arepa Power salió a comerse en el terreno a su rival de turno, con una gran salida del zurdo de los Cascabeles de Arizona, Eduardo Rodríguez, quien tiró cuatro innings y un tercio con un solo hit permitido y combinado con un Fly de sacrificio del MVP del torneo, el antesalista de los Reales de Kansas City, Maikel García, soberano vuelacercas de Wilyer Abreu en el quinto episodio con las bases limpias y un milimétrico manejo del pitcheo relevo, los morochos se llegaron a colocar a seis outs de hacer historia
En el octavo episodio, el conjunto de las barras y las estrellas empataron el desafío dramáticamente con un bambinazo por todo el jardín central de 431 pies ante un cambio de velocidad a 93 millas del relevista Andrés Machado con un Bobby Witt Jr en circulación. En la parte alta de la novena entrada con el partido empatado y con un nuevo relevista encaramado en la lomita, Venezuela embasó a la Regadera Arraez por un boleto y el alto mando vinotinto, Omar López, mandó a correr a Javier Sanoja y este cumplió con su función: se robó segunda base y Eugenio "Geno" Suárez lo impulsó con soberano doblete en cuenta completa al derrotado Garrett Whitlock para dejarle la escena lista al cerrador de los Chicago Cubs, Daniel Palencia, quién se encargó de retirar de 1-2-3 con dos ponches incluidos con envíos de hasta 100 millas por hora para concretar la victoria y el primer título mundial de Venezuela
