#travel-day-walk

@alessandrawhite just finished a 0.45km walk, that lasted for 7 minutes.
This walk helped alessandrawhite burn 40.0 calories.
Description from Strava: A lot of walking takes place on travel days, wouldn’t you agree? The tricky bit is that with all of our fancy devices, there’s a fitness continuity problem with my Strava app when flying from one starting country to another.
The funny thing is, I even have two phones, so thought I thought surely, with mindful pausing & resuming as needed, it would all work out. But no, not yet anyway.
One of the phones says that I walked 36 km. My body kind of feels like it did, but no. My other phone says that I walked .44 km. Now, I can tell you right now, that I walked more than that getting from one end of the train platform to the other! 😂
But what I can tell you is, I got back home to Leeds from Krakow, and although I had a couple of tense moments to negotiate, I am writing to you from my little bed with my warm, extremely British water bottle.
Photo time! 📸
The first photo is of me oh-so-relieved that I did not miss my only train 🚊 of the journey, the LNER from London to Leeds.
The second photo is the plane ✈️ from Kraków that I almost missed because the Polish Border Control was understaffed. It was a sea of passengers! So this is my view as I’m hauling-ass to get to those boarding stairs! Whew!! 😅
I’m happy to say that I have a week and a half here in The North of England before it’s time to travel again for Hive. 🥰

About the Athlete: Alessandra's made some cray-cray changes and set new goals in her life recently. One of those is to improve my enjoyment of being fully human (or feline works, too) and to highten my senses with imagination and wonder.

STOPI found a useful site a few years ago which allows accurate measurement of walks. I used it a lot before phones were capable of measuring steps and distance, and it might be a good way to double-check numbers if you're not sure. It's also great for planning ahead to areas where you might travel! 🙂
