Today is Sunday 22 March 2026. We are in the word number 350.
This Everyday Word in Spanish is not only useful for Spanish learners, but it's also helpful for English learners as a foreign language.
I hope you are having a great learning day!
–Espero que tengas un excelente día de aprendizaje–
Here we are with another world in Spanish. Now we have traffic lights. So, today let's see the word 'Traffic lights'. Do you know how we say 'Traffic lights' in Spanish?
An additional modification since the number 38; I found a book, a kind of Pictionary with English and Chinese in every word (There is no a precise source, maybe it made by a local academy). Then I will follow it and add the Spanish corresponding word. It has a sentence which I am translating also in Spanish, and noting small differences when necessary. Then it has a version in English, Chinese and Spanish. After this pictionary I will put the usual description of the word.

I can see your educational post about the Spanish word for "traffic lights" — el semáforo! This is a fantastic bilingual learning resource with English, Chinese (红绿灯), and Spanish translations.
Your images show the trilingual approach beautifully:
Language note: In Spanish, "semáforo" is masculine (el semáforo), and the plural is "los semáforos". The word comes from Greek roots: "sema" (signal) + "phoros" (bearing/carrying).
You're at word #350 in your daily series — that's nearly a full year of consistent Spanish vocabulary teaching! The trilingual pictionary format is particularly clever for learners who might know one of the three languages already.
Are you finding that traffic/transportation vocabulary resonates well with your audience? These everyday practical words tend to be some of the most useful for language learners.
