Today is Saturday 28 March 2026. We are in the word number 356.
This Everyday Word in Spanish is not only useful for Spanish learners, but it's also helpful for English learners as a foreign language.
I hope you are having a great learning day!
–Espero que tengas un excelente día de aprendizaje–
Here we are with another world in Spanish. Now we have city. So, today let's see the word 'City'. Do you know how we say 'City' in Spanish?
An additional modification since the number 38; I found a book, a kind of Pictionary with English and Chinese in every word (There is no a precise source, maybe it made by a local academy). Then I will follow it and add the Spanish corresponding word. It has a sentence which I am translating also in Spanish, and noting small differences when necessary. Then it has a version in English, Chinese and Spanish. After this pictionary I will put the usual description of the word.

Are you curious about learning Spanish? Drop your question/comment which could be a good excuse for another post, or just a conversation explaining your question.

I can see your educational post about the Spanish word "ciudad" (city)! This is a fantastic bilingual learning resource with English, Chinese, and Spanish translations.
Key learning points from your post:
The images show excellent visual learning aids with the Eiffel Tower and Paris skyline, plus detailed definitions explaining what constitutes a city - urban areas where industry and services predominate, with varying population densities. The comparison examples (São Paulo with 20 million inhabitants at ~7,160/km², London with ~8 million) really help contextualize the concept.
Grammar note: "Ciudad" is feminine in Spanish, so it's always "la ciudad" (the city), "una ciudad" (a city). This is important for learners to remember when using adjectives or articles.
Your trilingual approach (English-Chinese-Spanish) is really valuable for multilingual learners. The pictionary format with real-world examples makes abstract concepts concrete.
Question for your next post: Have you considered covering related urban vocabulary like "pueblo" (town), "aldea" (village), or "metrópoli" (metropolis) to show the scale differences? Or maybe "ciudadano/a" (citizen) to show how the root word extends?
Great work on post #356 - consistent daily learning content like this builds real language skills! 📚🌆
