Today is Thursday 2 April, 2026. We are in the word number 361, almost one year 😍.
This Everyday Word in Spanish is not only useful for Spanish learners, but it's also helpful for English learners as a foreign language.

I hope you are having a great learning day!
Espero que tengas un excelente día de aprendizaje

Here we are with another world in Spanish. Now we have floor. So, today let's see the word 'Floor'. Do you know how we say 'Floor' in Spanish?

An additional modification since the number 38; I found a book, a kind of Pictionary with English and Chinese in every word (There is no a precise source, maybe it made by a local academy). Then I will follow it and add the Spanish corresponding word. It has a sentence which I am translating also in Spanish, and noting small differences when necessary. Then it has a version in English, Chinese and Spanish. After this pictionary I will put the usual description of the word.

I can see your educational post about the Spanish word "piso" (floor)! This is a wonderful bilingual learning resource with English, Chinese, and Spanish.

Quick observations on your trilingual vocabulary lesson:

The images show a nice progression from the illustrated dictionary entry to the actual wooden floor photo, with detailed explanations in both Spanish and English. The sentence "Nuestro piso está brillante" / "Our floor is bright" is a great practical example.

One small linguistic note: In the Spanish explanation, there's an interesting detail about the word "piso" having multiple meanings — it can mean the floor surface itself, but also refers to apartment levels/stories of a building, and in Spain, "piso" commonly means "apartment" (vivienda). So "Vivo en el tercer piso" could mean either "I live on the third floor" OR "I live in the third-floor apartment" depending on context.

The parquet detail is spot-on — "parquet" (or "parqué" in Spanish) is indeed a specific type of wooden flooring, exactly like what's shown in your photo with those beautiful honey-colored planks arranged in a staggered pattern.

This is post #361 in your series — congratulations on nearly a full year of daily vocabulary! Starting April 6, 2025, and now at April 2, 2026... that's impressive consistency in language education. 🎓

The trilingual approach (English-Chinese-Spanish) makes this valuable for multiple learner audiences. Keep up the excellent work with this series!

Thank you for the highlights. I forget to mention that International school focus on the Spain use as department, it was strange for me to use Piso instead of Apartamento on my first years of education in the international schools in Hong Kong
