¡Qué tal amigos y amigas de HIVE! Espero que se encuentren de la mejor manera posible porque yo estoy muy feliz de compartirles este nuevo post hablando de un partido no solo trascendental sino también cultural y futbolísticamente, hablando de renovación, de calidad pura.
Ingleses y Americanos. Inglaterra y Estados Unidos, son quizá los dos países más importantes en nuestro día a día desde hace más de 50 años, su cultura y metodología los han puesto en el dominio de lo que se hace y progresa en la vida incluyendo, definitivamente, el deporte.
El Fútbol en Inglaterra es un sentimiento, un estilo de vida. En cambio, el famoso "soccer" no es la gran atracción para los estadounidenses aunque eso en los últimos años ha cambiado para bien.
El Fútbol en Inglaterra
La maravillosa Inglaterra, lugar donde las nubes grises te arropan y los días lluviosos te motivan a superarte. Solo en un lugar tan frío pudo crearse un deporte tan caliente. Cuando se habla de fútbol en Inglaterra, es encontrar en los ingleses una liberación del mundo, un sentimiento que solo se le puede dar al equipo favorito, esa fidelidad y apoyo son únicas cuando se trata de un Derby, la última jornada, salvar la categoría o estar en la cima de la tabla para el campeonato.
Sin embargo, explorando más entre lo que la gente gusta existe una pasión mutua en todo un país y su nombre es ¨La Selección Inglesa¨. La Selección Inglesa ha regalado historias de amor y extasis al fútbol, la nación que inventó el famoso deporte fútbol se consagró Campeón Mundial en 1966 en su propio país. poniendo en alto no solo el nombre del país sino también al de jugadores como Bobby Charlton y Bobby Moore.
"El fútbol es para todos" este lema ha trascendido de generación en generación, emulando lo que significaba el deporte fútbol en sus inicios. A principios de este texto, mencionamos al fútbol como un deporte caliente, de explosiones y sentimientos algo que sintieron las personas de las clases sociales más altas en las épocas del Siglo XIX en adelante. La competitividad ya no era solo para saber quién es el mejor pues para los privilegiados era humillante y decepcionante perder ante aquellos que vivían su día al límite con miles de horas de trabajo, sí, los pobres.
La historia del mundo ha trascendido en mucha parte por este país, sucesos que marcaron épocas en ideologías sociales, políticas, culturales y hasta musicales tuvieron mucho que ver para tener el actual Fútbol Inglés; pues tanta riqueza que un país como Inglaterra ha generado, logró tanta trascendencia en la Premier League, Championship, estadios y tecnología.
El camino Inglés hacia Catar
No es ninguna sorpresa ver clasificar a Inglaterra a un Mundial de hecho hasta nos extrañaría ver una Copa del Mundo sin ellos. El camino del combinado inglés, estacionándonos en la modernidad, fue bastante sencillo y sin complicaciones su único escalón complicado para llegar a la cima del Grupo I en las clasificatorias era la Polonia de Lewandowski quienes no fueron rival sencillo, pero no imposible para la muy rejuvenecida Inglaterra ganando su partido ante los polacos 2-1. El resto fueron goleadas a diestra y siniestra a equipos como Albania, Hungría, Andorra y San Marino.
Inglaterra comenzó su proceso mundialista desde perder el puesto de tercer lugar en Rusia 2018. Aquel mundial en donde la cenicienta (Croacia) del torneo se interpuso a la nueva generación de futbolistas ingleses que mostraron garra, dedicación y sobre todo respeto lucha. Algo que las generaciones pasadas de ingleses parecía que carecían con su selección pues en las últimas dos participaciones antes de Rusia 2018 se despedían del torneo de una manera muy decepcionante recordando el 4-1 de Alemania en 2010 y ni siquiera haber avanzado de fase de grupos en Brasil 2014.
Parece ser que para los ingleses la gloria se les resiste, pero llegar a las instancias finales ya habla bien de la generación actual. En 2021 se realizaba la Eurocopa 2020, pospuesta debido a la pandemia, donde Inglaterra con jugadores muy jóvenes y combinando la experiencia de otros sacaban la casta y llegaban hasta la final que desafortunadamente perderían ante una Italia que manejó de mejor manera los tiros penal.
Un subcampeonato de Europa, jugadores con distintas cualidades en convocatorias y seleccionados campeones de Champions League han seguido el camino para que Inglaterra esté en el Mundial de Catar 2022.
El Fútbol en Norteamérica
Norteamérica es la parte que compone la zona norte del continente América, pero no es ninguna sorpresa darnos cuenta que Estados Unidos es el país principal de esa zona. Un lugar lleno de atracciones artificiales, naturales e incluso otras hechas específicamente para tus gustos el país históricamente ha dejado huella en cualquier lugar que se presenta ya sea hablando políticamente, culturalmente, música y deporte, excepto en el deporte que más vende, irónicamente.
El fútbol y Estados Unidos no son tan siquiera buenos amigos su historia en el mapa internacional cuenta con un tercer lugar en un Mundial, sin embargo hablando de la competitividad en ese entonces uno prestaría más atención a quien sí fue campeón.
Las instalaciones, infraestructura y estabilidades que Estados Unidos te puede ofrecer en el Fútbol son de primer nivel, pero la cultura de este deporte no se ha hecho del público como en otros países. Al final de cuentas, este deporte se ha utilizado como un producto de consumo, algo que puedes tomar para divertirte en un determinado tiempo para después solo tener el recuerdo de que una vez estuvo contigo. Así es como la cultura futbolística se ve en Estados Unidos porque podrán tener estadios inmensos, oportunidades únicas e incluso gran metodología, pero la garra y el valor muy pocas veces lo han demostrado... Aunque eso parece que puede terminar.
El camino americano hacia Catar
Estados Unidos veía lejos un proceso mundialista tan siquiera esperanzador, el cuadro americano lograba uno de sus fracasos más grandes de la década pasada no clasificando al Mundial de Rusia 2018 y ni siquiera entrar al repechaje.
Un año después de la justa mundialista llegaba la cita ya habitual en la CONCACAF, la final de la Copa Oro 2019 era otra vez entre México y Estados Unidos partido que se llevaba el cuadro azteca por un marcador de 1-0. Las críticas hacia la Selección de Estados Unidos eran enormes, no había una reestructura, muchos jugadores ya no tenían cabida en la selección y el equipo no competía.
Fue en 2020 que, a pesar de la pandemia, una generación de futbolistas estadounidenses comenzaban a acaparar el mercado europeo, la prensa internacional y sobre todo la mexicana difundía con cierto interés jugadores como Christian Pulisic, Tayler Adams, Sergiño Dest, Giovanni Reyna, Weston McKennie, entre otros. Estos jugadores protagonizaban titularidades y buenos partidos en clubes como Juventus, Chelsea y FC Barcelona teniendo como consecuencia de pronto ver a una selección estadounidense con ideas de juego claras, intensidad física, deportiva y un 11 envidiable para la zona de CONCACAF.
El examen importante para Estados Unidos iba a ser en 2021, un calendario con la CONCACAF Nations League, Copa Oro 2021 y los últimos partidos de las Eliminatorias Mundialistas eran la prueba definitiva para los americanos quienes no decepcionaron en la primer edición de la CONCACAF Nations League, ganándole a México por un marcador de 3-2 y superando físicamente a los mexicanos.
Sorprendentemente Estados Unidos lanzaba un cuadro alternativo para la Copa Oro 2021, formula que resultó exitosa ganándole otra vez a la Selección Mexicana en el Allegiant Stadium con un gol solitario de Miles Robinson en los últimos minutos del partido.
El equipo de las barras y las estrellas cerraba su excelente proceso mundialista clasificando de manera directa al Mundial, colocándose en el tercer puesto de los 3 y medio cupos disponibles en CONCACAF, pero con una gran diferencia de puntos con el cuarto lugar.
La importancia del Inglaterra vs Estados Unidos
En una Copa del Mundo siempre los puntos en la fase de grupos serán lo más primordial encima de todo, así esté jugando el mejor futbolista de la historia los equipos harán de todo por ganar un pase a la siguiente ronda, pero hay partidos que significan más que eso sin la necesidad de ser rivales deportivos.
A principios de este post se mencionó lo importante que estos países han sido en la vida de las personas, con sistemas ideológicos y de gran metodología han acaparado los rincones de la gran mayoría de los países del mundo, sus respectivas culturas le han dado un giro a nuestras vidas.
Más que una victoria, dos culturas de gran poderío y hermandad se enfrentarán en una Copa del Mundo el sofisticado prestigio inglés defendiendo a su amado "Football" contra la rebeldía y el mercado americano con su polémico "Soccer". Estados Unidos ha hecho un trabajo fantástico en el fútbol, está claro que sus cosechas son para que maduren en el Mundial del 2026, donde son sede, pero el crecimiento ha sido tan constante y fuerte que les alcanzaría hasta para competir en Qatar 2022. Inglaterra, por su parte, con jugadores ya completamente consolidados y extremadamente competitivos busca repetir de mejor manera lo sucedido en Rusia 2018.
