Rans Cilegon FC which finally manage to be promoted into the LIGA 1 The highest competition in Indonesia as it is the runner up of LIGA 2 after being beaten in the final by Persis Solo 2-1.

The club belongs to Raffi Ahman one of the big celebrity here in Indonesia. He and his friend Rudi Salim bought the club in the early 2021 from Cilegon United then change the name into Rans Cilegon FC.

Turkish Media, Fotospor is also reporting the same news about the interest of Indonesian Club towards Mesut Ozil. But will the deal really come true?

Rans Cilegon FC will need to pull its pocket deep enough to be able to get Ozil services. The market prize for Ozil now is around 3.7 Million Euro, or around 60 Billion Rupiah. That is just to make the transfer happens not the mention his salary which is sitting almost at the same price tag which is 3.5 Million Euro a year.

But if this deals come true, it might be a thing for Indonesian League because they will get more exposure. Also that more and more clubs are being handle professionally it will means we will have a better competitions in the future.

Now it only comes to the Association to be able to be clean and transparent so that the Indonesian football can develop very well in the future.

Hmm I don't know much, is it a publicity stunt? Or perhaps this rumour may have legs with the Islam conmectetion? I know Indonesia biggest population of Muslims and Ozil is a devout Muslim to my understanding.

I just think it is a gimmick from the Rans Cilegon FC owner to boost the club name after they promoted into the Liga 1.
That is a huge money to be put just to get Ozil to play, better to improve the basic club needs and try to find promising Indonesian player, or at least find a cheaper European player.

Yep I agree. Not only is Ozil too good but he's brand is also too powerful to be underpaid. No disrespect to the Indonesian league but it would diminish Ozils rep

He is still have a great chance to play in Europe, unless he is agree to close his career and choose over money instead he might just come to Indonesia.

Yes there are a lot still needed to be fix before we can attract top class player, because eventough Ozil come and ruin his rep, it will also damage the chance for future star to come to Indonesia because of the bad image.

Major League Soccer could be an option. Good money and good exposure as well. Over 500,000 muslims in Los Angeles so this could be a huge play for LA Galaxy or LAFC.
