My Actifit Report Card: January 26 2023
Thursday morning was another cold and slippery one, which led to me getting the children to school late for the first time since i started driving the bus. I did my first couple of pick-ups as normal but joined a very long queue of cars before getting to my third pick-up.
It would have been quicker to walk the next couple of miles as we slowly trundled along. It turned out that a couple of cars had collided in one of the villages I drive through and had mostly blocked the road. By the time I eventually arrived at my last pick-up, we were half an hour late.
Of course, all the children were delighted and tried to persuade me to take an extra long route to school to make them even later. Alas, I was a spoilsport and got them to school as quickly as I could. It turned out the accident was on the local radio so I didn't even have to persuade the staff at school to let the children in without a late mark.
