Weekend with sports label

This weekend was full of a lot of sports adrenaline, those who have read previous articles know that we are basketball lovers and our son José Ernesto at 12 years of age plays this sports discipline very well, he has already played at the regional level against other clubs and although he has performed at the individual level a victory had not been successfully, those who know about this sport know that it is purely collective where each of the players that make up it play a fundamental role to be able to organize the game and be able to achieve the victory that every athlete yearns for when he is playing.

Yesterday Saturday our son's basketball club went to a nearby city in our geographical area known as El Vigía, to face other teams in a friendly match that will serve as preparation for an upcoming championship in other locations. In these activities we always support our beloved champion, on this occasion I had the privilege of directing him in one of his matches, thanks to the trust that his coach gave me, since, I had to be a referee in another match, for me it was a privilege because, although I am not a specialist I know about this sport which I have practiced since I was very young and I know about certain fundamental aspects.

Managing a team where your child is playing is not easy, because, you must be very objective and demand the maximum at all times, the eyes of all parents and representatives seem to be on you and how you handle this situation without it being seen that there is privilege. On the other hand, my champion makes it very easy for me because he is a very disciplined and respectful boy, he never misses his practices and he has a lot of talent, he occupies the position of pilot or point guard, he is in charge of ordering the team and directing some plays, the ball always passes through him before executing each offensive advance.

It was a Saturday full of many joys and satisfactions, after 1 year of many practices and many lost matches, the mini basket team shows that they are meshing and is playing like a real team, because, they got their first two victories away from home, they passed the ball very well, the penetrations to the hoop ended in effective baskets, in the rebounds we were also very good, all this shows that the workouts that are every day of the week from Monday to Friday are paying off, despite being so young, they still show that they have the discipline and the necessary preparation to compete at a high level of their categories, a lot of talent is projected.

Finally, I want to tell all those parents who read this article and whose children are practicing some sports discipline, to support them tirelessly, sometimes they enroll them in these schools to entertain them in the free hours that they do not have classes and possibly do not see in them talent for it, but after a boy starts practicing a sport in an organized way they begin to acquire certain skills that I am sure they want to share with their parents. Therefore, I invite you to accompany them to some of their practices and games, where they will be able to show everything they have learned with the motivation that their parents are watching and supporting them, a word from a parent and a gesture of satisfaction can mean a lot in a child's sports career.

The skills that children acquire are important to participate in sports meetings at secondary school and at the university level, where study is complemented with sports and they will become integral and healthy beings, keeping them away from vices and turning them into responsible people.
