I kinda expected this because its a weekend and I understand if it happens today too :)
Yesterday as actually very boring out here just maybe, we can skip the weekends engagement since not many people are participating in the engagement on weekends and I guess it is because of a busy schedule of everyone.
Weekends are always busy for people because of the numerous occasions and tight schedule.
I agree with evegrace. Though it's my first time here, I understand the tight schedule of weekends.
I haven't really been here before to know how the engagement in the daily chat is but I hope to hop in from time to time.
Ah well daily we have around 10-11 members actively participating talking about various sports here .
Well yeah that makes sense , why I like to keep the thread open is because there are numerous matches that takes place during the weekend so if people are free then they can hop on and discuss about those matches was my thought.
Yea yesterday was a bit slow. I guess we barely made it with a few people making the list.

Today was rough. I watched my college basketball team get killed. Good season. Just played bad in their tournament.

Do you know its a birthday of Aamir Khan, who played Bhuvan in Lagaan. Though not a sportsman, he featured into my post on #sportstrivia. Historical movie on the India England match. Co-incidentally, India and England are playing the match against each other. I hope India wins it again.

Hockey - Montreal Canadiens fall to the Calgary Flames
Once again, after a very unimpressive performance, the Habs lost to the Flames 3-1. Confusion and indecision were Montreal's greatest enemies of the night. For the brief moments when the team was able to build up momentum, it was clear that the Flames defense was struggling to deal with the speed.
However, Montreal was not able to seal the deal and the resilient Calgary Flames capitalized on that and dominated the match.
The Canadiens move on to face the Jets in Winnipeg.

A quick question and I hope someone throws more light on this.
When speaking of sports, in my understanding it encompasses all kinds but why is it that I noticed many only talk about football, the predictions, and the rest.
Football isn't the only sport we have, is it? but it seemed we are kinda biased
I believe it's because football is very popular and a lot of people here are fans of that sport. But there are other options, indeed!
I, for example, like to talk about hockey!

Anything else other than football. I feel really bored having to read and go through football articles everyday.
I bumped into a post about martial art and even golf and I really liked it cause I learned something from the two posts.
But talking about football every now and then feel really boring

It's the most popular here. I generally watch Basketball more so I tend to make a mention here and there about some of the games I watch. I tend to prefer the Clippers and Lakers games though.
Also @amr008 posts sometimes about cricket.
Well although Football takes a lion share , there are people over here who talk about various sports .
I personally talk about Cricket if you are interested but I have seen Basketball , baseball and hockey discussion too .

Yes I know that football takes the lion's share and what I really don't like about it is that it seems half of the whole community talks about the same and particular match that happened that day, I don't find that interesting at all.
But all the same, thank God for some of those updates.
Well no I haven't posted about Cricket for a long time now . What I meant was I talk about Cricket over here in SPORTS Daily post .
We have couple of other users who are interested in cricket too so we chat about that .
