Night Walk Around The City

It was yesterday evening. We took our dog šŸ• out for a evening walk and decided to go to city center.

The main square appeared more or less empty to us. Not surprised! It's mid August and believe it or not half of the town are on vacation, mostly somewhere along the country shore.

It was also hard to hear domestic language.

We could hear French, Italian, English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Ukrainian, Czech, Slovak, etc.

The impression was that only every tenth passerby was a domestic one.

Only around this fountain the groups of domestic college students were meeting each other, standing or sitting around the fountain pool.

The night was warm (not too hot) with some pleasant breeze. It seemed the tourists enjoyed the weather and the calming atmosphere of the city too.

Our dog as well! šŸ˜€

Looks like a neat and clean city centre. I think it is better to walk in a comparatively free space than a congested place.

Thank you! Yes, it is a neat and clean city (especially in the center). Because of that, over a century ago was called White Zagreb City, and we are still trying to keep it that way. Most of the tourists recognize that and adjust, but some, unfortunately, can't get rid of bad habits by throwing their trash on the floor. Therefore, it's not a rare case to see how some of the locals would pick it up after them and throw it in the nearest trash can (that are all over the city). Sometimes, if they see a person picking up their trash, they realize that their behavior it's not welcome, even less appreciated. But sometimes, the look on their faces tells you how they must be thinking that the person who picked their trash is crazy. šŸ™‚
