El Real Madrid, puntero de LaLiga Santander, empató a cero en el estadio de la Cerámica en un partido vistoso ante un Villarreal que fue superior en el primer acto y terminó sufriendo ante los blancos.

Real Madrid, top of LaLiga Santander, drew 0-0 at the Estadio de la Cerámica in an entertaining match against a Villarreal side that was superior in the first half but ended up suffering against the Whites.

El dominio total tras el descanso no fue suficiente para que el Real Madrid ganara en La Cerámica al Villarreal en un choque en el que los locales fueron mejores en la primera mitad y en el que un balón al larguero en el minuto 92 privó de la victoria al equipo visitante. La primera parte estuvo marcada por el buen juego del equipo local, que superó a su oponente, y la segunda por una superioridad muy clara del conjunto madrileño, sobre todo en la primera media hora, que dio una imagen muy diferente con una buena actuación de Vinicius.

La noticia más llamativa en el inicio del encuentro fue la presencia de Bale en el Real Madrid para jugar como delantero centro en detrimento del centrocampista Luka Modric, aunque en el primer tiempo el jugador galés apenas participó en el juego de su equipo para mejorar en el segundo.

Solo a tres minutos del descanso dispuso el equipo madrileño de una ocasión para marcar en la primera y única aparición de Bale hasta ese momento que desbarató Rulli. Fue una primera parte intensa en la que no faltó la polémica en dos acciones en las que Vinicius recibió un golpe en la cara por parte de Albiol primero y Parejo, después,y en una fuerte entrada de Asensio sobre Iborra.
