Teachers on Strike
One of our routes takes us around Longsands Academy - I love these terms.. schools aren't just schools anymore, so funny.
Anyway, during our morning walk we saw a group of people from a distance, some in high vis vests.
They were teachers on strike for better pay holding up banners.
They tried to get my attention, but I didn't have much time to stop for a long chat unfortunately, so I just wished them good luck for their endeavour and took a few pictures.

Thanks for joining the Wednesday, its always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks

I can sympathise with those going on strike. Times are tough and pay has not kept up with rising costs whilst the big bosses seem to get ever more money. I don't think anyone becomes a teacher to get rich, but you need to afford the basics.
Totally with you on that one!
Being a teacher or any of the other professions of that nature is tough enough without the money being short..
They work harder than most politicians anyway putting in extra hours to help the kids.
