The bell of St Neots Church were just starting to ring as I walked past at 9am, unusually late, but ok for a Sunday.
We would come exactly an our later when they would tell us that is was 10 o'clock.
It was so sunny and lovely that after a while I had to take my fleece off and carry on in a T-shirt. I took a picture but was shocked by how pale I look.. 😂
I clearly need some sunshine..
There was a group of rowers, who stopped. I thought they were going to race but it appeared to be a training session for newcomers as the trainer was asking questions like how to perform an emergency stop and such like..
Open Mic at the Coopers Arms
The afternoon was spent at a popular Open Mic run by our friend Mark Watson in an absolutely lovely pub in the middle of Hitchin which is well frequented on those afternoons.

Yes, Hitchin seems quite active, but in general do some open mics do better than others..
Some faces where there who I don't have pictures of, including my own.. ha
I think Emma took some including some duets with Steve which went down well.

I will need to add Hitchen to my list of beautiful English towns to visit,it looks like a great place to spend the weekend. That river looks like a wonderful place to stroll or row. What a fantastic little pub the Cooper's Arms is, I love that fireplace and those deer antler chandeliers. Maybe I will find myself joining that open mic one Sunday.
