The Open Mic Aftermath
Trampolining
Of course was I out walking today, that's what dog owners do, and later on we'll be out again at an open mic in Baldock, so I'll easily reach the target, but a fair bit of steps I got done on my trampoline during my lunch hour. After having a chat with @lizelle I decided I should really spring back into action and, more importantly, a video shot of me last night opened my eyes..
I had a lot of fun though being back on it! I've got some playlists I set up in the past for various speeds, this one below is more for jogging, the music is too fast for jumping jacks and such like, well in my opinion anyhow.
One of @steevc's favourites made it on the list, it was my finishing title for today.

Open Mic at the True Briton
Last night the Arlesey Jammers held their new monthly Open Mic at the True Briton.
This was the second helping of a row of others hopefully to follow, the landlady surely seems up for more.
We had some of us Hivers there who were able to make it, namely @steve-o2023 and @steevc, and many of the usual crew with Ray organising the whole setup and running order, introduction of people etc. I must say, that he does a pretty good job of it, even if he's only really started recently.
The tradition of the Jammer's Open Mics is to do three songs each; last time, as there weren't that many musicians in attendance, we got a few more than usual as we ran through the list a second time.
This time we had a few new faces joining, some I know from other Open Mics.

It was a good night. Such a variety of music and Chris's mum could chat with Rod about the old days when she used to see his band.

We got 25 minutes each.. Mark had four cancellations..
It went all really well! It's a great atmosphere in that pub.

My old piano gave up the ghost a long while back, is now just part of the decor. It's ancient, has brass candlesticks on it. My parents bought it when I was very young and it was old then already!
