Walking

We walked around Graveley for a bit this morning, which was nice. I want to try to branch out a little into the surrounding places, but it means driving to them, which I'm not keen on, so I will keep that venturing to a minimum.

The coronation was still present and I wondered how they celebrated the event. Did they use the little bandstand for musical entertainment or speeches? They might have used the village hall to stay dry on that horribly wet Saturday afternoon..

Mothers Day

I phoned my Mum in the morning. It so happens that it's Mother's Day today in Germany, which I believe it is in many other countries. That was a coincidence though, I must admit that I am not the perfect daughter.. lol
We actually chatted for almost an hour.. I'm sure that'll do for a while.. 😄 - joke!

Band Practice

The afternoon was filled with our new formed band practicing some songs. I don't know if I'm allowed to mention the name yet, so I'll whisper it.. The Riverkicks.
Don't tell anybody I told you that! 🤐
Anne-Marie paid us another visit from Ireland, which was lovely and we chose songs from our collection of songs in turn. Great fun!

I've been through Gravely, but not really explored it. I really think the coronation has been less of a big deal than the last jubilee with less flags around. Charlie needs to earn more respect to match his mum.

It was a fun rehearsal and great to have Anne-Marie with us again. Some of those tunes are coming along nicely.

I don't care really either, I guess, it gives people something to do and be proud of.
He's done some good things with regards to the planet and he seems slightly more accessible than her, which is good in this day and age.

Although he lives in luxury he's been groomed for this role all his life. I know people say the royals do a lot of good, but they don't get much choice really. I just think it's a weird system expecting someone to be a good ruler just because they are from a certain family.
