Open Mic St Albans: July 19 2023

Today I recorded "Rolling In the Deep" by Adele for Hive Open Mic.

Steve and I went to an Open Mic in St Alban's for a duet slot of 30 minutes; I suppose Mark wanted to sweeten my long journey because the set suddenly shrunk to six songs while we were performing leaving us with no control over picking the best ones. Not very good for a round trip of 2 hours!

However.. A guy in the audience is in a band and asked us if we could play an hour set at one of their gigs. I'm not holding my breath but that would be great. We shall see.

If you've got a support slot then that could be a good outcome. You really can't expect to make money from this malarkey. When you add up the cost of equipment and travel it has to be a passion. You two do make a great sound.
