Stormy Gigs: September 2 2023
My highlight yesterday was my gig with Steve O at a party in the early evening but the afternoon with Swing 42 was full of surprises too!
We were playing at an animal shelter for a couple of hours; it was an event that Barbara had organised for us.

We had plenty of time to set up as the act before us didn't turn up. 🙄
|

|
People showed off the siren of this car..
.. just as Steve was singing one of his songs.. it only distracted him a tiny bit.. 😄

|
|
|
At some point some off us wandered off for a short break which turned out a little longer than expected; I did a couple of my own songs and Barbara did one as well to bridge the gap.
I got worried as I had to leave at 3pm and there were still two songs in our set that I sing.
I didn't need to worry though because once we started again and had played a couple of songs a mini-hurricane or something took hold of our gazebo and carried it right into the middle of the square!! 😲
And then the big tent to our left with dog toys followed suit! Wow!
Luckily nobody got injured!

It did turn out more dramatic than we expected. We got some nice comments on our performance anyway. I hope your other performance had less drama.
