Auto Votes: October 25 2023
It was the Jammers Night last night which I went to after I've been absent for a few weeks; it was nice to be back for a change.
I took my laptop this time and got some first hand Hive support from @steevc; Finally I've got my auto-voting sorted which I have been meaning to set up for ages but struggled with the login.
I vote on certain people's posts manually all the time which can be time consuming and sometimes impossible when I'm out, but I always read the stuff later. This will help a great deal!! 🙏
I have learned that manual voting takes precedence so the auto-vote won't rule, which is excellent!
If you're curious how to do that:
Add steemauto to the authorities section

Then log into https://hive.vote/ to set up your fanbase for example; You might have to log into https://hivesigner.com/ first. You can set your voting mana thresholds so it doesn't go too low; mine is set to 80%.

Richard had one his tools with him and a new holder for his harp. He's a bit of a handy man, so just to be clear, you won't be able to find these at your favourite Amazon store...

Hivesigner can be a little tricky. I tend to prefer Keychain for most things.
It was a fun evening and our one audience member enjoyed it. Mind you the guy behind the bar wants to join us next time to play. Maybe word will spread. I know some people fear we will get over-crowded, but it may be time for 'fresh blood' :)

Hi, dear friend, like you said "Any questions drop me a line in the comments" I have a question.
My question is not about the autovote, but in the post you mentioned "mana" and about two weeks ago I was asking about the Discord and no one knew. I Googled "What is mana on hive.blog?" and got a ton of videos of hivers singing covers of songs by the Mexican band "Maná".
Finally I published a post (which you can see here ) asking what it was "mana" and no one answered.
I wanted to delegate HP to a friend and I got a little sign saying that I couldn't because I didn't have enough mana.
I will be very grateful if, when you have time for it, you explain to me what mana is. Thank you in advance and a thousand blessings to you.

No problem; I'm not sure about the name to be honest, but mana is what you can see when you hover over the little stats icon on your profile:
You will see your percentage left to vote and how long it will take to get back to 100%.
As you can see does mine take about 7 hours right now and yours 2 days.
The time it takes increases pro rata as you vote and will take longer and longer to get back to 100%, which is why it's not wise to vote at 100% on everything because you decrease your voting power with your decreasing mana.
I try to stay between 90% and 100% but down to 80% is also acceptable which is why set this in my auto-vote.
