Bass Practice: January 10 2024
Just recording yesterday's 10k. Poliac comes at the right time when I, once again, need to get moving more.
It's still pretty cold with frozen windscreens in the mornings but no snow in sight, at least not where I am. I don't miss it though to be fair. St Neots is still flooded in places.. I should go and check if I can ice skate on the plains.. lol
I'm having to prepare for another gig at the end of next week, which is great. My little bass gets more involved, even on "SOS", which is one of our standard ones. I am still trying to sing along which needs a little more time.
I thought I'd record myself practicing "Billy Jean" today for a change so you get to see what my new toy looks like. It's very cute in my humble opinion. I don't look very relaxed yet.. haha
I'm trying to play while I watch TV.. always works.
Isn't this a little beauty? I don't need a special amp for it, just a small practice amp does the job. I was lucky to find a strap from a ukulele that broke a while ago. Ready to jam and gig!!
I am still trying to get us recording our songs, but have so far been unsuccessful.. 🙄
I shall persevere..

Yours sounds great and you've got a nice groove going on. I'm sure it adds a nice extra dimension to your set. I'm tempted to add drums to that as it's one of the classic beats.
