Hitchin Scooters: April 2 2024

A few weeks back I bought a motor scooter from my friend Ray; it's a 125cc one, while he got himself a Royal Alloy with a bigger engine of 300cc. I have a full motorbike license and brought over my Dad's Vespa many years ago, which was a 200cc and very heavy. I was amazed how light this one is! Pushing it is super-easy if I have to and it does pretty much the same speed as my Vespa used to do.
Ray kept it in his garage while at my place it will have to stay outside, so I have to make sure it stays covered up and that I keep it polished.
I love the handle bar as it keeps my wrists in an ergonomic position, unlike straight bars.
You can probably guess that this was made in China, and Ray has never worked out how to set the clock, the manual doesn't mention it, and the support is non-existent. I have tried, but have not heard back eiher. Ah, well, I know what time it is.. late!

Anyway, on Saturday I went to pick it up and we took a trip to Hitchin Market Square were we had our local Hive Meetup last year.

This is Lee's machine, pretty neat if you ask me! He's the guy standing there in the back
talking to Ray and is one of our musician friends. He's got a collection of scooters I believe that he's done up.
We didn't know he would be there but we will meet up some time for a scooter ride to the coast.
